How do I set-up a "team" so I can view assessment data for my PLC? Each PLC needs to be connected on Mastery Connect as a "team" in order for the CFA data for the data teams process to be viewed for the PLC group. Click on Community on the top task bar, click on My Teams, click on Add Team to get started or click on Edit if you already have a team and need to make changes. For adding a new team, add the PLC Name & description, then search the names for the teachers in your PLC to be added and click create. How do I build my tracker? If your course has a curriculum map build your tracker from your map (most math, sci, ss, and ELA courses have maps...if you're not sure, check with your coordinator). If not, you should click "trackers" and then create a new tracker. When it asks how to add students, choose SIS and it will upload your students from Tyler. Step card for building a tracker. How to I build a tracker from a curriculum map? Why is this important? Most core courses have a curriculum map that has been created in Mastery Connect by their coordinator. These maps are very helpful because they put the standards into the order that you teach them, indicate which are priority standards, and have preloaded assessments for you to print and use for these priority standards. You can build your tracker from a map by following these directions. What can I do if I already built my tracker, but didn't build it from a curriculum map? If you would like to have your tracker built off your content's curriculum map (it means your standards will be listed in the order that you teach them and you will have some pre loaded assessments available to you) you can follow the directions above to create a tracker from a map. You can keep your existing tracker, and when you add another tracker from your map, the student mastery information will follow the students from your old map to your new map. You can then archive (not delete) the old trackers. (Note: While the levels of mastery follow the students, the assignments will not, so if you need to edit or access the assignments from your original tracker, you'll need to do that through the old tracker.) Assessments: How do I print a bubble sheet aligned to a specific assessment? How do I print a blank/extra bubble sheets? How do I score an assessment using the grade cam? Step Card How do I print and administer an assessment that is already added to my tracker? When I add an assessment what cut scores should I use for the levels of mastery? As a general rule, use 80/50 as a guide. Meaning anything 80% or above is proficient and anything 50%-79% is near mastery. Paragraph Writing: How can I use Mastery Connect to track my paragraph writing data? Tutorial Video: How to add the paragraph standards to your tracker, how to get the paragraphs assessment into your tracker, and how to exclude scores from other teachers so they do not appear or override the scores in your tracker.
